An 18-year-old man was badly injured when he fell 200 feet from a cliff at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden on Sunday afternoon.
The 18-year-old was hiking alone, officials said. He was conscious enough to wave over rescuers, but he suffered severe injuries.
A female heard him fall, saw him on the ground and called 911.
LifeStar medical helicopter was called, but an ambulance responded to the scene first and transported the man to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
